Avoid the Doctor by Getting Healthy Today

I believe we should see the doctor once a year. More if you have some medical conditions, but there are some things you can do to avoid medical conditions and sickness. And if you do get sick when you are healthy, it's generally not as bad. I feel this is important as we are still struggling with COVID and many of you are trying to get healthier.

Quick Tips on What You Can Do Today To Improve Your Wellness

Improve Your Sleep - By sleeping 7+ hours per night, your body gets a chance to take action and heal itself. It is highly beneficial to help avoid injury risk.

Improve Your Nutrition - Start by making small changes, but avoiding things that have a lot of sugar and have been highly processed is a good start. Try to eat as many natural colors in a day as you can!

Move - Getting out and moving will help your muscles and joints from getting to stiff

Get Strong - Evidence has shown that stronger people live longer. Lifting weights makes you all more robust and has many other healthy side effects.

Get Fresh Air - Even when the weather is bad, try to spend a few minutes outside (you can be undercover). Breathing fresh natural air can help your lungs expand and refresh. Fresh air is also good for your blood.

Improve Your Lungs - Improving your cardiovascular system with aerobic conditioning (running, swimming, biking, rowing, etc.) will let your lungs become healthier and make a lot of the other things in this list easier to do.

How to Start

You don't have to start all of these at once. In fact, if you try to start them all at once, you are more likely to have a tough time making changes.

Pick ONE.

Start there, small changes will help you move forward. Once you have a grasp, try another one.

Remember, you all start somewhere. Compare yourself today, to the you in a few days, months, and years. Don't compare to other people!
