Ergonomics for Laptops

With a ton of you working from home, I thought that I would share some tips for helping with your setup. This blog post is about laptop ergonomics!! Next week I will talk about setting up your workstation for a desktop computer!

Here is a transcript of the video:

Hi this is Dr. Joel with BodyFix PT. We're gonna go over some ergonomic setups you can do with a laptop computer now if I just had a table right I don't have a lot of options whereas with my desktop computer I can have a more permanent set with this computer I I'm typing my screen height is so low and I may want to raise that up in order to do that I'm going to put the keyboard way up here so there's a few attachments we can have to make a better ergonomics setup okay the first one is with a wireless mouse or a wired mouse you can have that hooked up to your computer and now your hands are free over here the next one I happen to have a wired keyboard that I can connect to my computer through a USB port okay so now I can be have this monitor a little farther away from me as well as have a keyboard a little closer to me now we want to address monitor pipe a lot of these things are not very expensive look through the monitor having to use some books or I went to Ikea and got this yeah it's not the most attractive thing in the world but what I can do is I can lift my laptop up onto it like so and just make sure it's in the locked out position and now my monitor hype is great I have a keyboard down here I have my house and I'm all set and this is not very much all this can mostly fit in your backpack. thank you for listening and I hope this helps.
