Mobile (Concierge) Services

One of the questions we get asked a lot is "what does mobile PT mean?" For a majority of our services, I will come to you. That means I will come to your house, office, gym (with prior approval), or a public space of your choosing. I currently am helping people in Mercer Island, Bellevue, and Newcastle (Washington State). If you live outside of these areas and feel you are nearby, reach out to me and we can try to make it mutually beneficial (Joel@BodyFixPT.com)

What Are The Benefits of Mobile Services?

This is something that really sticks out to me. I know that you are busy. You have kids, a job, and a household to run. When I ask you to come to my office, you need to schedule it within your already packed schedule. You need to allow at least 1 hour for the appointment, plus time driving and finding a parking space. On top of that, there may be a fee for parking, or a long walk from the parking lot.

Mobile services allow you to only have to schedule your appointment time. You don't have to deal with all of the other stressors involved. Being in pain and trying to return to your life is stressful enough by itself. Decreasing your stress will help you to heal. It has been proven that stress plays a role in pain management and injury time. I want to do everything I can to help you return to a full life.

By coming to you, I can work within our collective schedules to fit you in. Once we decide together that we are a good fit, we can design a treatment plan that will help you avoid unnecessary surgeries or injections (some are necessary).

In Washington State, you have the right to decide who your medical provider is. You can have an appointment with me without the need to see your medical doctor. If you injure a joint, or a muscle, or any part of your skeleton, I can help you avoid the "industrialized medical system."

What Does A Typical Mobile Visit Look Like?

I will arrive at your house a few minutes before our scheduled time to unload my treatment table and other items we will need for our visit. If it is your first visit with us, I will take a detailed history of you. I want to know more than just about your current injury. I want to know if you hurt your back 10 years ago playing softball. That could be why your ankle hurts today. By getting to know you, I will develop an individualized treatment plan to serve your goals and needs. We will start your plan while I am still there with you.

Once it is not your first visit, we will be able to just touch base on what changes have occurred since our last meeting. Unfortunately, sometimes there isn't a change between 2 consecutive visits. Most of the time there is. When these changes start to occur, we will progress what we are doing to make it look more like things you do everyday (Pick up children, lift groceries, chase the dog, etc.). There will be corrective exercises, manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization (cupping, theragun, massage, etc.), movement breakdowns via video, joint manipulation (think of the cracks of your knuckles), and anything you want to add in to help you reach your goals.

How Long Does Treatment Last?

Each visit will typically be for 55 minutes. Sometimes we may decide you want more or less time. This decision is made on a case by case basis.

A majority of my clients only need to see me 5-8 times to resolve the current issues. This is spread out usually at 1 time every week. The whole process will take about 1-2 months, but only 5-8 hours of your time (with me). You will be given ways to help you progress between visits. The more you follow these, the faster you will be back to your sport, family, or friends.

Does this sound like something that you can use? Will this be helpful to you? If you answer yes to any of these questions, reach out to us to set up a free phone consultation at info@bodyfixpt.com

If this is something that interests you, but you are not in our service area, we do offer Video Visits for all residents of Washington State
