Welcome to Wellness Wednesdays

Every Wednesday on our blog and social media, we will cover a wellness topic. What is wellness you may ask.



Webster's dictionary defines wellness as the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal lifestyles that promote wellness.


If you are anything like me, I hate when they use the word they are defining in its definition. It makes it hard to understand what the word means. At BodyFix PT and Performance we believe wellness is a state of being. It is working to be at peak health for you. This might be fitness goals of record lifts, or fastest marathons. This might mean being able to play with your kids or having a night out with your loved ones. Wellness is individual, there is no one true definition that fits for everyone. We can help you discover what wellness is for you.


We understand that each person is different and has different goals. You may not care about the latest diet trends, fitness trends, the coolest new gear, but you most likely care about you, and being able to live life to the fullest. We understand how your unique health plays a role in what you enjoy doing, and how what you enjoy doing plays a role in your health.


Some of the broad topics we will cover in this space include, healthy food choices, fitness styles, sleep hygiene, optimal breathing patterns, as well as conditions that can adversely affect your ability to participate in the things you love. Our goal is to help you enjoy the things you want to enjoy.
